Chakras...

The 7 Main Chakras...

Our chakras (Sanskrit for wheel) run down the centre of our body and are centers of energy (the entry doors to your Aura).  The lower half is the instinctual side and the upper half is the mental side of us.

We need to balance our chakras to be at one with ourselves.  chakras can be open, under active and overactive, the over active chakras compensate for the under active.

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) - Security & Grounded
Location: Base of the spine.
2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) - Feeling & Sexuality
Location: Lower Abdomen

3.  Naval Chakra (Manipura) - Self Esteem & Control
Location: Solar Plexus (Below the Diaphragm)

4. Heart Chakra (Anahatra)  - Love, kindness and affection
Location: Chest, Heart, Cardiac Plexus
5. Throat Chakra ( Vissudha)  - Self Expression
Location: Throat

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) - Insight & Visualisation
Location: Centre of the forehead
7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) - Wisdom & Being One with the World
Location: The Crown of the Skull

There are actually 88,000 chakras in ones body, the majority being small and insignificant but 40 of then have a significant function.  These are constantly turning and vibrating.

Chakras influence our body shape, glandular process, chronic physical ailments, thoughts and behaviour.  When one or more is blocked we can notice this within our daily lives.
